Technology - its use, growth, and challenges - was a common theme among all 4 resources. "Creating Classrooms We Need" and "The Journey From Digital Literacy to Digital Fluency" seemed to have the most in common in terms of using technology in the classroom. Rather than just using technology as a tool, both blogs implied that technology is and should be embedded in the life of teachers and students as learners and as members of society. "My Daily Info-Wrangling Routine" and the video both touched on the vast amount and varieties of information that is technologically available. "My Daily Info-Wrangling Routine" explained a strategy for seeking needed and useful information, organizing it in a meaningful way, and sharing it with others.
Being able to organize information by categories on PLN will help me as I learn about new web 2.0 tools and their uses. I feel like I get overwhelmed with so many tools, websites, ideas… that I do a little bit of everything instead of really learning a lot about a few things. One reason I chose to use weebly.com as my blog is because I had to use it to create a web repository last semester, and I wanted to become even more proficient with it so that I can use it with my class.
